VocalMakers: Constructing Conversations

Dive into the world of STEM with a linguistic twist through our Talking Bot Activity. In this creative project, you’ll build a bot that records and replays voice messages, using simple circuitry. This activity not only introduces basic electronics but also serves as an innovative tool for language practice.

During this workshop, participants will be introduced to different techniques to introduce Maker-centric learning in the classroom. In addition, they’ll learn:

Simple Circuitry: Understanding and assembling basic electronic components to create a voice recording mechanism.

Interdisciplinary Application: Utilizing the talking bot for language learning, enabling students to practice and hear spoken words.

Classroom Strategies: Tailoring this activity to different educational settings and adapting it to diverse learning needs.

This session is crafted to equip educators with the necessary skills to facilitate an engaging, multidisciplinary learning experience, blending STEM principles with language education.
